What to Expect in Therpay
Therapy is a process that takes time, consistency, and trust. During the first 1–3 months, much of the work focuses on building rapport, creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, and gaining a deeper understanding of your experiences and goals. Meaningful change does not happen overnight, and progress looks different for everyone.
Growth in therapy is highly dependent on the client’s willingness to be open, consistent, and engaged both during and outside of sessions. Therapy can feel uncomfortable at times because it often involves vulnerability, self-reflection, and discussing difficult emotions or experiences. However, discomfort can also be part of the healing and growth process.
Telehealth sessions are treated with the same level of professionalism, care, and consistency as in-person sessions. Clients are encouraged to attend sessions in a private, quiet space where they can fully participate and feel comfortable engaging in the therapeutic process. Over time, with patience and consistency, many clients begin to feel more comfortable, connected, and confident in their journey toward healing and personal growth.
